Network Assessment

Overview

Today’s information security landscape is complicated. Data is useless if it cannot be accessed, but too much access can be detrimental. What do organizations do when security is breached? What communications should the media receive when personally identifiable healthcare information for a thousand users has been lost? What is the penalty when a company realized its database containing thousands of credit cards has been compromised for over a month? Hackers want nothing
more than to access data and use it for their own personal gain. As their techniques evolve, network vulnerability grows more complex daily, how can we protect our data?

Police use criminologists trained in understanding the mindsets of crooks to catch their suspects. Learn to protect against hackers in the same way. Organizations must understand how a hacker thinks. IANS Faculty possess extensive experience in anticipating a hacker’s exploits; we know the tools, we know the techniques, and we know how data gets compromised.

IANS offers several assessment services which meticulously expose these attack points and provide organizations with valuable information, along with recommendations to protect their network from an external penetration.

Approach

IANS provides multiple levels of assessments: Basic and Enhanced Vulnerability Assessments, and Full Penetration Testing.

  • Basic Vulnerability Assessments provide a broad overview of the vulnerability posture of a network.
  • Enhanced Vulnerability Assessments go a step farther and provide validation of each vulnerability, root cause analysis, and remediation measures.
  • Full Penetration Test takes information gathered in an Enhanced Assessment and attempts to exploit any discovered vulnerability. An Enhanced Vulnerability Assessment provides most of the same threat information as a Penetration Test, but without the same level of risk to the network.
