will come from the mobile environment. To date, users of mobile devices have believed
that these devices are secure and mobile device attacks have been largely ignored by
information security professionals. However, with mobile devices becoming
more powerful and storing more data, it is only a matter of time until a major data
breach incident occurs related to loss of a smartphone. For information security
professionals, now is the time to develop an enterprise mobile security plan. This plan
should involve defining the organization’s potential problem related to mobile devices,
defining the risk posture, and establishing a pilot group. Also important is to educate
