Office Assistant/Event Coordinator

Job Description
IANS Research, an independent, third-party research firm that focuses on IT Risk Management and information security, is seeking to grow its team with the addition of an Office Assistant/Event Coordinator.

This professional will have a broad portfolio of responsibilities. The primary responsibility for this individual will be to assist with IANS’ outside client events and to provide general office support. The secondary responsibility for this individual will be to work closely with various departments on client interactions and management.

The Office Assistant/Event Coordinator reports to the Director of Events and Operations. This position is located in IANS Boston, MA headquarters.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with event planning and implementation
  • Prepare nametags, materials, packages, registration lists, etc.
  • Close out all events as required
  • Overall office keeping: maintain the inflow and outflow of goods (water, paper, pens, pencils, notepads etc.), arrange for repair and maintenance of office equipment, receive, store and maintain inventory of office supplies and equipment, and send, receive and sort mail and other packages.
  • Answer phone calls, concluded the nature of call and assist callers to the proper department.
  • Other duties as assigned

Secondary Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with IANS’ client inquiry process
  • Schedule the IANS Faculty with clients who have made a specific technical or managerial inquiry.
  • Introduce and moderate the research calls between the IANS clients and the IANS Faculty.
  • Work closely with sales team to understand client priorities and perform closed loop process after the client inquiry takes place to ensure highest quality of service delivered.
  • Assign and update client credentials as needed

Requirements:

  • Entry Level Job
  • College degree required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff
  • Organization and planning skills
  • Solid time and deadline management skills
  • Proficiency with MS office or equivalent

Forum Account Executive

Job Description

This Forum Account Executive's role is to sell both various individual research offerings and positions at IANS’ regional events. This position reports to the Head of Inside Sales at IANS

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Selling IANS research offerings to information security executives and professionals
  • Recruiting IT and information security executives and professionals to attend IANS’ regional information security events
  • Updating and managing IANS’ CRM database
  • Forecasting and meeting projected sales goals
  • Managing and monitoring sales opportunities
  • Maintaining crucial relationships with IANS’ customer base
  • Averaging 50 outbound sales calls per day

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of successful sales
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1+ years in sales environment
  • Must be comfortable cold-calling
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com consider a plus

Account Executive

The Account Executive is responsible for selling IANS’ consulting services and its annualized research service offering.

IANS sells directly to CIO’s, Chief Information Security Officers, and their direct reports inside Fortune 2000 corporations, government agencies, and large academic institutions. This sales executive will be responsible for the entire selling process, including prospecting, sales pipeline management, qualification, proposal development, and closing. The focus of this position will be exclusively on new business development.

The Account Executive reports to the Senior Vice President, Sales. This position will require travel.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee all aspects of day-to-day sales
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline
  • Maintain and update a quarterly and an annual sales forecast
  • Build key client relationships and development client project proposals
  • Work closely with the SVP, Sales to coordinate account penetration
  • Provide feedback on market condition, new opportunities, product penetration strategies and success
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 4+ years of sales experience; research sales experience preferred
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Domain expertise in technology; IT research services preferred
  • A demonstrated ability to establish C-Level contacts and to build strong relationships with clients
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Professional training in sales methodologies
  • Willingness to travel

Benefits:

IANS offers a range of benefits including health insurance, disability insurance, group disability insurance, group life insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan. Compensation consists of a base salary plus an incentive compensation component based upon individual sales performance.
