Director - Research

Job Description
The Director, Research at IANS will be charged with the creation and management of IANS quarterly research topic calendar based on end user needs and topics of interest in the information security space. This calendar will inform both written research and client engagements, including IANS 6 annual Forum events, for which the Director, Research will be tasked with creating topic agendas and coordinating faculty participation. A keen eye for detail and an ability to discern end-user technology pain points and “to-dos” from a list of business issues driving security policy is critical.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Establishing and maintaining a dialogue with IANS end-user clients to better understand the business and technical challenges facing their security organizations and track this information toward a goal of establishing up-to-date trend and topic lists to inform IANS marketing and events teams.
- Determining a quarterly research calendar, showing in advance the topics that IANS will be researching, including creating updates to IANS web presence to showcase these topics and sourcing information for this research from client interactions and IANS Faculty participation.
- Planning and delivering curriculum for IANS 6 annual forums, coordinating panel discussions and breakout sessions at these events, in coordination with IANS Director, Events and Operations.
- Planning and managing the delivery of IANS end-user events such as Enterprise Client Briefings, IANS Symposia and other ad-hoc client interactions, in coordination with the Director, Events and Operations.
- Maintaining an ongoing roster of and familiarity with IANS faculty, external security experts charged with delivering answers to clients AAE queries, participation in IANS virtual and in-person events and participating in creation of IANS syndicated research.
- Traveling to IANS 6 annual Forums in key US markets to lead and participate in client-facing sessions as well as to continue developing content for IANS syndicated research based on end-users’ interactions.

Vice President – Strategic Accounts

Job Description
IANS is seeking an experienced sales professional with a minimum of three years of business-to-business sales experience in consulting, syndicated research and/or technology based environments to sell the IANS’ consulting services and its annualized research service – The Partner Program.
IANS sells directly to CIO’s, Chief Information Security Officers and their direct reports inside Fortune 2000 corporations, government agencies and large academic institutions.
This sales executive will be responsible for the entire selling process, including prospecting, sales pipeline management, qualification, proposal development, closing and ongoing client management skills. The focus of this position will be on new business development.
An ideal candidate would possess:
- A minimum of one to two years of proven consultative sales experience selling technology products or services to large companies and/or government clients
- An ability to consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals
- A demonstrated ability to establish C-Level contacts and build strong, ongoing relationships with clients
- Effective time management skills
- Flexibility
- A desire and ability to quickly learn new technologies and clearly articulate value propositions
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
Compensation:
The compensation plan for this position includes a fixed base salary of $70,000 and a commission structure which brings the On Target Earnings (“OTE”) to a range of $120,000 to $125,000 per annum.
