Chris Silva is the Senior Vice President, Research and Service Delivery at IANS. In this role, Chris runs all daily operations of IANS’ syndicated research and custom client advisory activities. Chris is committed to innovating the IANS research methodology to better serve security professionals. Chris comes from within the IT research industry and is a veteran of several established research businesses. Chris served four plus years at Forrester Research, most recently as a Senior Analyst working to serve Security/Risk and Infrastructure/Operations professionals. Chris is a graduate of the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts.

Having built IANS’ annual practitioner member offering, Phil oversees all practitioner business at the company. Phil began his career in security with seven years with the U.S. Navy as a Strike Fighter Pilot & Ordnance Requirements Officer. After receiving a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, he joined Goldman, Sachs & Co. in Mergers & Acquisitions and later became an associate with McKinsey & Company in Boston, MA. In 1996, Phil became one of the founders of Provant, Inc., a publicly traded training company serving the Fortune 1000 and Federal Government. He left Provant in 2000 to launch the Institute for Applied Network Security. Phil is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Harvard College; and, he graduated at the top of his class in US Navy Flight School.

Jack holds primary responsibility for all vendor business at IANS. Jack began his career as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley & Co. in New York, and at the Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan in Tokyo. He took on senior operating positions at McGraw-Hill in 1994 and joined the founding team of Internet Securities in 1995 (subsequently purchased by Euromoney in 1998). Jack later joined CCBN.com in 1999, leaving the following year to launch the Institute for Applied Network Security. Jack is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Williams College.

Tricia Gorman is the Chief Financial Officer at IANS. She is responsible for IANS accounting, fulfillment, human resources, and IT activities. Tricia started her career at Deloitte, Haskins & Sells where she worked as a CPA for several years. Prior to joining IANS, she managed her own small business accounting practice. She is a graduate of Stonehill College and holds a Certificate in Accounting from Bentley College.
