Roland Cloutier

With over 25 years of experience in the military, law enforcement, and commercial sector, Roland is one of today’s leading experts in corporate and enterprise security, cyber-defense program development, and business operations protection.

Roland has functional and operational responsibility for cyber, information protection, data defense, operational risk, workforce protection, crisis management, and investigative security operations worldwide.

Jason Cathey


Jason Cathey is an Arkansas native and Alumni of Arkansas State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems. Since 2006, Mr. Cathey has held key management roles in Information Technology, Bank Operations, and Information Security for financial institutions ranging in total assets from 400M to 27B+. He is currently the CISO for Bank OZK (responsible for Information Security, Cybersecurity, Vendor Risk Management, Data Governance, and Data Privacy), President and Board Member of InfraGard Arkansas, Board Member of ISACA - Central Arkansas Chapter, and holds active CISSP, CISM, GCIH, and CDPSE certifications. He is also an active member of InfraGard, ISACA, FS-ISAC, ISC2, and FBI Citizens Academy Alumni.

Two CISOs walk into a bar and… end up talking shop because that’s what we do in infosec. In this session, Roland Cloutier, Global CSO of ByteDance / TikTok, and Jason Cathey, CISO of Bank OZK, will have a one-on-one interview, candidly discussing their perspectives on:

  • Current events and developments in the security market.
  • Running a team and aligning with the business.
  • Managing the stress of the job and growing as a CISO.

Part way through the session, we’ll open the floor for participation. Come with questions ready and expect to leave with actionable insights from your peers.

Trained in biological science, Nick worked extensively in R&D and has a long history of transformational leadership in R&D, product security, enterprise security and privacy, culminating in executive CISO roles in two Fortune 500 companies.

Steven Martano

Steven Martano

The Caldwell Partners, Consultant, Cyber Security Practice

Steven Martano is a consultant in Caldwell Partners’ Cyber Security Practice. He recruits across the information security function, including CISOs, CSOs, cyber advisory board members, and cyber leaders in professional services.

Steven spent seven years at Russell Reynolds Associates, where he helped build the Cyber Security and Supply Chain functional practices, serving as a member of the global Corporate Officers practice.

Earlier in his career, Steven worked at Sikorsky Aircraft (then part of United Technologies Corporation), where he led operations and financial planning for multi-billion contracts for the U.S military and key international customers in the Middle East, Asia and South America.

In addition to his professional career, Steven serves as an editor and featured writer at Beyond the Box Score, SB Nation’s baseball analytics platform, and is a contributing columnist to FanGraphs’ The Hardball Times. He holds a BA from The Catholic University of America and a master’s degree in economics & finance from Trinity College.

Shamla Naidoo

Shamla is the Head of Cloud Strategy and Innovation at Netskope and a former Managing Partner and Global CISO at IBM. She is a Board Director at both QBE and Stonebridge Acquisition Capital and a Board Member at ReferencePoint. Shamla’s experience spans 38+ years in a variety of sectors and 6 continents, making her an expert in cross-cultural collaboration and working across industries. She is recognized as a leader in applying security to enable priorities of the business. Her background also includes authoring and teaching several courses for the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in technology, security, and privacy law. Shamla coaches professionals on leadership, board communication and how to align security with strategic business initiatives.

George has extensive experience in board and executive communications serving as a Board Member for ANTIVIUM, Inc., a cloud monitoring and analytic startup, and VENZA, a data protection company. Likewise, George is an Adjunct Faculty member at University of Denver and Cloud Academy, in addition to a Participant in the US Technical Advisory Group: Privacy by Design, which aims to define an international standard for consumer protection as part of ISO Project Committee 317.

Safeguarding Against Supply Chain Attacks in the Cloud

The emergence of attacks using the software supply chain as an entry point has had devastating results. However, initial attacks have focused on on-premise software. As the threat evolves and attackers shift their focus to the cloud, businesses must be ready to adapt. In this discussion, IANS Faculty member George Gerchow will provide a strategic look at the risk of supply chain attacks against cloud services and follow it up with a tactical look at how to mitigate that risk. He’ll cover:

  • The specific risks created by supply chain attacks targeting cloud-based security tools.
  • How to move past the entry point of CYA questionnaires to get at the meat of providers’ security architecture.
  • Steps to take in case one of your cloud providers is breached.

Rear Admiral, USN (Ret)

Rear Admiral Becker is a former Naval Intelligence Officer and senior executive with a unique combination of military, business, cyber security, education and leadership experience. He’s served around the world, afloat and ashore, in peace, crisis and combat. As the CEO of “The Becker T3 Group,” he has a passion for contributing to clients’ organizational development and personal leadership growth by translating military characteristics of “Teamwork, Tone, Tenacity™” into corporate pillars of “Performance, Productivity and Profit.” Paul is a leadership instructor at the U.S. Naval Academy and previously served as a Professor of Practice at the University of Virginia’s Batten School for Leadership and Public Policy. He maintains a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance

Military service includes; Director of Intelligence (J2) for the Joint Chiefs of Staff where he was the principal intelligence and cyber security advisor to the Chairman, the U.S. Pacific Command in Hawaii, the International Security Assistance Force Joint Command in Afghanistan, Commanding Officer of the Department of Defense’s largest Joint Intelligence Operations Center at U.S. Central Command in Tampa, Intelligence Officer (N2) for the U.S. Naval Forces Middle East in Bahrain and an Assistant Naval Attaché to France.

Paul holds a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelors of Science from the U.S. Naval Academy. He’s successfully managed multi-million dollar budgets, led large, diverse teams through critical startups, organizational restructuring, and fast track growth. He is Senior Fellow with the Center for Naval Analysis (CNA) and serves on several Boards, including President of the Naval Academy’s Friends of the Jewish Chapel. A dynamic public speaker and author, his articles and presentations have been widely published.

Rear Admiral Becker is the recipient of the National Intelligence Community and Department of Defense’s Distinguished Service Medals and the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. The Naval Intelligence Community recognized RADM Becker in 2016 by establishing the “Teamwork, Tone, Tenacity” leadership award in his honor.

From Good to Great: Attributes that Make the Best Leaders Stand Out

with Paul Becker
What makes the best leaders stand out? In his more than 30 years of service in the U.S. Navy, retired Rear Admiral Paul Becker studied the leaders around him to understand the difference between the good leaders and the ones who are truly great. In this session, he’ll pull from that experience to: 
  • Present case studies that demonstrate how great leaders work in real-world situations
  • Unpack the underlying leadership skills that good leaders need to elevate their capabilities
  • Lay out a framework for applying the actions and attributes of great leaders
