2019 Virtual Symposium
Inside & Out: Mindfulness-Based Leadership for CISOs

Tuesday, August 20, 2019 | 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

A CISO’s job is difficult and, at times, overwhelming. The stress is part of the job and isn’t going away, so we need techniques to calm and focus the mind and keep us from getting overrun.

One such technique is the art of mindfulness – a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations.

Join peers for a candid session with IANS Faculty member Jennifer Minella on leading from all sides – including using mindfulness to increase performance and efficiency in the workplace, increasing EQ, and building a toolset for bringing mindfulness to your professional life in cyber security and beyond. This session will cover:

  • Ways to achieve a new level of listening and engagement
  • Differentiating reactions from responses
  • Tips and tricks for finding time and space each day to focus on the most important tasks
