Data Governance for the AI World: A Practical Roadmap
AI is putting legacy data governance processes under a microscope. In response, a number of key frameworks are emerging to provide a foundation for orgs to use as a starting point. This session dives into the strategic and tactical steps to take to improve AI governance, regardless of which framework you choose, and provides a rundown of some of the most prominent AI governance frameworks. Topic covered include:
- Creating data flow maps with sufficient specificity to provide a clear understanding of what data the org has, how it’s using that data and who can access it.
- Updating your data governance, classification, labeling and hygiene policies to set organizational best practices.
- The advantages and limitations of emerging AI governance and risk management frameworks such as the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and the DOE AI Risk Management Playbook, as well as guidance on when to use them.
