The AWS and Azure cloud outages this past fall, and predictions by some that we will likely see another hyperscaler outage in 2026 at least of the order of magnitude of these last ones, have many organizations considering their cloud resiliency strategy. For most orgs, using more than one cloud environment is common, but given the impact of the recent outages, some may be wondering if doubling-down on their multicloud strategy is the way to ensure continuity. In this webinar, IANS Faculty Rich Mogull, who also serves as Chief Analyst at the Cloud Security Alliance, gives his recommendations for developing a cloud resiliency strategy in light of the recent major CSP failures.
- Briefly unpack the major outages of 2025 with a focus on lessons learned
- Examine the benefits, tradeoffs and resources necessary for different resilience strategies – whether considering a move off of a CSP following an outage, doubling-down on your multicloud strategy, or something in between
- Hear practical recommendations to increase resiliency and continuity in 2026
