This course will teach participants Kubernetes fundamentals including services that make Kubernetes unique compared to other compute services. The course will then share how to build kubernetes with AWS Cloud Native EKS and security controls required when building EKS with services like CI/CD pipeline, Identity and Access Management, Network Security, Vulnerability Management, Encryption, Logging and Monitoring, Incident Response. The participants will also be provided with examples of common Kubernetes patterns for Architecture in AWS.

Participants will be taught the role of security services in AWS, the gaps that are left behind by an AWS native solution when looking at Kubernetes and AWS EKS. Participants will also be participating in 2 easy labs to create their AWS EKS Cluster and securing it using foundational AWS security services integrated.
