Profile

Meg Anderson is a former senior executive and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Meg strategically led the vision and execution of enterprise-wide cybersecurity and cyber risk strategy for over 17 years at Principal Financial GroupĀ®. Prior to working in information security, Meg spent 20+ years in IT. As CISO, Meg was responsible for safeguarding customer data, ensuring regulatory compliance across global operations, and protecting critical assets in an ever evolving and expanding threat landscape. She partnered directly with executive leadership and the Board of Directors to oversee technology/cyber risk, communicate complex security issues, and align security initiatives with strategic business objectives. Meg actively engaged in peer sharing and mentoring through CISO networks, 1-1 coaching, formal mentoring programs and inspiring emerging talent through universities and other opportunities.
