IANS Appoints Brendan O’Connell as New Chief Operating Officer

With the challenges facing today’s infosec leaders, from increasing attack surfaces to talent shortages, IANS is strengthening its position as a trusted advisor to the infosec community by expanding our executive management team. Ensuring continued best-in-class delivery of critical decision support products and services for our clients, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Brendan O’Connell as Chief Operating Officer, a new position for the company. 

Brendan assumes leadership of the Research, Consulting and Client Services functions. He is an infosec veteran with over twenty-five years of industry experience. Brendan has led both large and small organizations including GM for a $250m business unit at Forescout, Strategy for Cisco security, and as a co-founder of an infosec start-up with successful exit through acquisition by Sumo Logic.

IANS is growing its subscription revenue business by forty-five percent this year, with projected growth in 2023 above 40 percent. With a sole focus on cybersecurity decision support, its client base of infosec professionals from leading financial institutions and Fortune 1000 companies rely on this end-user member community and subject matter experts, IANS Faculty, for insights and advice to advance security programs and upskill team members. With the expansion of the leadership team, IANS is poised to further enhance the client experience and delivery of decision support products and services, events, and consulting offerings for our community members.
