IANS Appoints Obie Quelland as Chief Technology Officer to Support Technology and Innovation Growth

Seasoned Technology Executive Brings Deep AI, Cloud, and Engineering Leadership Expertise to Leading Cybersecurity Advisory Firm

BOSTON May 11, 2026 - IANS is excited to announce the appointment of Obie Quelland as Chief Technology Officer.

Quelland brings over 20 years of technology leadership experience across fintech, insurtech, and enterprise software, with deep expertise in AI integration, cloud-native architecture, and scaling high-performing engineering teams. Most recently, he served as Chief Technology Officer at Altigo, a fintech platform acquired by SEI Investments in 2024, where he led the technology transformation that positioned the company as a market-leading solution for private asset research and transactions. During his tenure, he scaled the engineering organization from 10 to 50 people and built a fully AI-assisted software development lifecycle.

Prior to Altigo, Quelland served as Director of Web at Elephant Insurance, where he led the company’s transition from a legacy monolithic platform to a cloud-native microservices architecture on AWS, and as Senior Manager of Online Systems at CarMax, overseeing software delivery for CarMax.com and its mobile applications serving millions of users. Earlier in his career, he held engineering and architecture leadership roles at Capital One, Live Nation, S&P Global, and Accenture.

Quelland holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Mary Washington and an M.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of Virginia.

At IANS, Quelland will lead the firm’s information technology strategy and operations, with a focus on modernizing platforms, scaling infrastructure, and accelerating the integration of AI capabilities to support IANS’ continued growth.
