Obie is Chief Technology Officer at IANS, leading information technology strategy and operations, with a focus on modernizing platforms, scaling infrastructure, and accelerating the integration of AI capabilities to support IANS’ continued growth. Obie brings over 20 years of technology leadership experience to IANS across fintech, insurtech, and enterprise software, with deep expertise in AI integration, cloud-native architecture, and scaling high-performing engineering teams.

 

His prior positions include Chief Technology Officer at Altigo, a fintech platform acquired by SEI Investments in 2024, Director of Web at Elephant Insurance, where he led the company’s transition from a legacy monolithic platform to a cloud-native microservices architecture on AWS, and Senior Manager of Online Systems at CarMax, overseeing software delivery for CarMax.com and its mobile applications serving millions of users. Obie holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Mary Washington and an M.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of Virginia.
